Swiss Re transferred on 5th June 2012 74% of its shares of the ASS Assekuranz Service- und Sachverständigen GmbH to Chiltington International Holding GmbH (73 %) and PRO Insurance Solutions Ltd. (1 %).
Chiltington and PRO are long-established partners of Swiss Re for claims management and risk management as well as the consultancy of insurance companies especially for outsourcing services. Chiltington, located in Hamburg, is well-known for more than 20 years experience as a consultancy for the German insurance industry. Chiltington will, being a sister company of PRO London, place/promote PRO’s services on the German market.
Swiss Re will retain 26% of the shares and will continue to take relevant influence on operational and strategic decisions at ASS. Thus, it is safeguarded that for the clients all services in claims management and the continuity in the client relations will persist.
The management of the company will be taken over by Reinhard Wegener and Stefanie Koch from Chiltington as well as Arn Theuwissen from Swiss Re, who was already the manager before.
With Chiltington and PRO’s support ASS is enabled to improve their services and their quality and to generate further growth. As a client you will profit from additional know-how and extended services offered by ASS.
